We will use the USB method because it is the safest way . Let us start the master class now .

Why You Must Update Your TV Software

Many people ignore the update message on their screen . They think it is not important . But this is a big mistake . Here is why you need the latest firmware . First it fixes bugs that make your apps crash . Second it improves the picture quality and sound . Third it makes your Wi Fi connection stronger . Samsung also adds new features in every update . So if you want your TV to run like new you must update it .

Step 1 Find Your Model Number

You cannot install just any file on your TV . Every TV has a unique Model Code . If you use the wrong file the TV will not work . So the first step is to find your Model Code .

Check The Back Sticker

Go behind your TV and look for a white sticker . It is usually on the right side . You will see a number starting with UA or QA or UN . Write this number down on a paper .

Check From Settings

If the TV is on the wall use the remote . Press the Menu or Home button . Go to Settings then go to Support . Select About This TV . You will see the Model Code on the screen . Also check the Current Version number . If your version is 1001 and website has 1005 then you need update .

Step 2 Prepare The USB Drive Correctly

This is the step where 90 percent of people fail . The TV cannot read every USB drive . You must format it correctly first . Take a USB drive with at least 4GB space . Plug it into your laptop or computer . Go to My Computer and right click on the USB drive . Select Format .

Step 3 Download The Official File

Now open Google Chrome on your computer . Search for Samsung Download Center . Click on the official Samsung website link . Type your Model Code in the search bar . Click on your TV model name . Scroll down to the Manuals and Downloads section . Look for Upgrade File USB type . Click Download to save the zip file .

Step 4 Extract The File (Most Important)

Listen to me very carefully here . You have downloaded a ZIP file . You cannot put this ZIP file directly into the TV . The TV cannot open ZIP files . You must open it on your computer first . Go to your Downloads folder . Right click on the file and select Extract All . Wait for it to finish . Now you will see a normal folder . Copy this folder and paste it into your USB drive . Make sure it is not inside any other folder .

Step 5 Install The Update On TV

Now go to your Samsung TV . Remove any other USB devices connected to it . Plug your USB drive into the USB port . Wait for a few seconds . A message will appear on the top of the screen . It will say Update File Found . Select Yes to start the update .

If The Message Does Not Appear

Do not worry if nothing happens automatically . We can do it manually using the remote . Press the Home button and go to Settings . Go down to Support menu . Select Software Update . Select Update Now . The TV will ask Do you want to search USB . Select Yes . It will find your file and start the process .

Once the update is 100 percent complete the TV will restart . You will see the Samsung logo . Now your TV has the latest software . You will notice that apps open faster now .
